Andrew - Founder of AK3D

Andrew is a mechanical engineer from a small town in Pennsylvania. He attended Penn State University, where he discovered his passion for 3D printing during a class on manufacturing. In his senior year, he was part of a team effort to develop a new design for UAV Prop Rotor Propulsion. During this project, he began to realize the benefit of additive manufacturing when intertwined with design engineering.  


After graduation, Andrew secured his first job as a mechanical engineer at a design engineering firm to continue the design and development of this technology. He quickly became the go-to person for anything related to additive manufacturing. However, Andrew's true passion was entrepreneurship, and he dreamt of starting his own 3D printing business to revolutionize the manufacturing industry.


When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Andrew saw it as an opportunity to pursue his dream, and he partnered with a local business accelerator in Melbourne, Florida to get his new venture off the ground. With their support, Andrew gained exposure to different applications and projects that utilized 3D printing from consumer products to military and defense applications.


Last year, AK3D partnered with the Ultimate 3D Printing Store to expand further. With this new partnership and the ability to become a one-stop shop for all things 3D printing, AK3D can now offer its clients printing services, CAD design, sales/service/support for AM equipment and materials, and AM consulting.


As his business grows, Andrew remains dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in 3D printing technology to provide his clients with the best possible solutions for their manufacturing needs. His goal for AK3D is to help businesses solve manufacturing issues by utilizing additive manufacturing to enhance their business processes.
